Private Farm Tours

2021 update:  private farm tours will not be offered this year, due to the constantly changing COVID-19 situation and health guidelines

Minimum of 10 people,  March 18 thru Nov. 1

A playful piglet spinning in circles......a  border collie rounding up sheep... a hen showing off her chicks...these are some of the special moments that define our days as sustainable livestock farmers.  Bring your group and take a close-up look at how we raise happy and healthy animals in a natural setting without the use of chemical inputs.   All ages welcome, but be aware there is quite a bit of walking through the fields.

Fee is $10 per person for 10 to 19 guests, $8 per person for 20 or more.   Children 2 and under free.

Allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  Advance scheduling is necessary.

What Will We See?

Things are constantly changing on a farm, but here are the usual cast of characters

 SHEEP AND LAMBS
100 to 300, depending on the time of year. In spring, the lambs are newborn and near the barn. In summer, they are on pasture first with their mothers, then as flocks of teenagers.

THE BORDER COLLIES
Can't talk about the sheep without mentioning the essential border collies we use to move them around the farm.

THE TAMWORTH PIGS
Throughout the seasons there are piglets, teenagers, and adults happily living in our pastures and eager for interesting visitors.

THE HORSES
Our Haflingers always enjoy a visit and a friendly scratch.

CHICKENS AND TURKEYS
Our chickens and turkeys are also raised on pasture, behind portable fences and moveable shelters.

THE HONEYBEES
Dave the Beekeeper can answer all your questions about those amazing insects who pollinate and make honey.
